Action Needed: Upcoming Gmail Changes May Affect Your Email

Google is making important changes to Gmail that could affect how you receive emails from third-party providers. Support for Gmailify and “Check mail from other accounts” (POP) is being removed, meaning Gmail will no longer fetch emails from external inboxes the way it has in the past.

If you were using these features, you may lose benefits like spam protection, inbox categories, advanced search, and reliable email syncing. The good news is that there are still ways to stay connected without interruption.

To continue accessing your emails, you’ll need to either set up automatic forwarding through your email provider so messages land directly in Gmail, or add your account to the Gmail mobile app using a standard IMAP connection. For work or school accounts, email data can often be migrated into Google Workspace with administrator support.

Now is the time to check your Gmail settings to ensure nothing slips through the cracks. A quick review today can prevent missed messages tomorrow.

If you’d like help confirming your setup or choosing the best option, we’re here to support you.

Possible work around’s to this change by google include:

Option 1: Email Forwarding + Keeping Gmail “Send Mail As”

Forward domain email to Gmail and configure SMTP for sending.
Cost: Typically $0–$5/month (no new platform required).
Note: This is a workaround and may carry some spam/deliverability risk over time due to restrictions by Google.

Option 2: Migrate to Google Workspace  (Recommended Long-Term Solution if you love Google layout)
Move your domain email fully into Google Workspace.
Cost: $6–$18 per user/month (depending on plan).
Benefit: Fully supported, stable, and best long-term deliverability. Downside, is you will still have your personal google, and business google but you can switch between the 2 at anytime without logging in/out generally if we set it up correctly.

Option 3: Switch to a Dedicated Email Provider (Dreamhost Email, Zoho, OTHERS)
Move email hosting to a professional third-party email service.
Cost: Approximately $3–$12 per user/month (varies by provider).
Benefit: Reliable infrastructure without relying on forwarding workarounds.

**We are also available for support and training on each of these options, and can teach you to efficiently use your computers’ mail or outlook as you can use this for everything.

Please let us know which direction you’d like to move forward with, and we’ll handle the setup and migration process.

Testimonials

I use to have so much resistance to asking for help. Seems ridiculous that I actually believed I had to do EVERYTHING alone. It made success sweeter, so I thought. No…It made success harder, more draining, and robbed me of joy. Stepping into my power and embodying my desire to grow my business required me to uplevel outdated beliefs. Asking for help was a biggie! I delegated the stuff I disliked doing, made time to serve clients more deeply, and supporting women in their businesses activated… Read more Jen Piceno
