The best way to do this is to use your main email, sign up for a google account with that email, and create your google analytics account.
Once it is up and running you can connect it to your site via the tracking code. This tracking code is either entered into your header of the site (so it tracks on every page), or if you use an SEO plugin it can be entered there instead! Then either set up a monthly report to be sent to your email, use a google analytics plugin on your site to see it as you log into your site, or schedule a time to log in every month or quarter to see how it works. You could do it daily, but the goal is to look at the big picture, see if traffic spiked over your last blog post, or if that last push for opt-ins was worth it!
